Features

Everything between “I have an idea” and git clone.

Four stages, in the order that saves the most wasted work. Each one is grounded in the one before it, and everything is saved as you go.

Idea discovery

Find something worth building

Start from a market you understand, not a blank page.

Market brief

Define the opportunity before anyone generates anything.

Pick a topic, target market and niche from a curated taxonomy, or have the AI suggest verticals and the buyer-intent keywords real customers search. The brief constrains everything downstream, which is why the concepts come back specific rather than generic.

Live market research

Evidence from the web, not the model's memory.

A search pass gathers current evidence of demand, pain and willingness to pay, with sources you can open. Concepts are then generated from that evidence, so what you get is grounded in what is actually being said right now.

Five scored concepts

Compare directions instead of accepting the first one.

Every run returns five genuinely distinct concepts, each scored on revenue potential, starting cost and build difficulty. All five are saved — the four you reject are the evidence that the one you chose was chosen.

Founder fit

Ideas weighted towards what you can actually ship.

Tell AppCrafter your skills, budget and the time you have. Research runs take that into account, so a solo engineer with two evenings a week stops being shown concepts that need a sales team.

Market intelligence

Find out who is already there

The landscape changes the concept more often than people expect.

Competitive mapping

Direct and adjacent competitors, with the gap named.

Each competitor comes with its positioning, where it overlaps with your concept, and the whitespace it leaves. Adjacent products are included, because those are the ones founders usually miss.

Registry-verified domains

Every name shown has a domain you can register.

Candidate domains are checked against registry RDAP records. Names we cannot positively confirm as free never reach you. When a registry is unreachable we say so, rather than showing an empty list you would read as everything being taken.

Manual domain search

Check any exact domain, then compare registrars.

Already have a name in mind? Check it directly and jump to Namecheap, GoDaddy or Porkbun to buy it. Anything you pick flows into the rest of the project.

Evidence you can audit

Sources kept alongside the conclusions.

Research runs record the evidence and the links behind them. Months later you can see why a concept scored the way it did, instead of trusting a number with no provenance.

Research and build

Turn the choice into something real

Identity, then assets, then a repository you can clone.

Product identity

An editable name, description and tagline.

Generated from the concept and the domain you secured, then fully editable. Nothing is locked: the identity you approve is what flows into the brand and the code.

Brand system

Palette, archetype, voice, logo and favicon.

A strategic brand direction grounded in the audience and the job, executed as a real logo through GPT or Gemini image models. Safe preview produces a vector identity at no cost if you would rather not spend on images yet.

Idea chat

Interrogate a concept before you commit to it.

Ask questions about any saved concept — who would pay, what would kill it, what to build first — with the research already in context. It uses your own AI key, like everything else.

Repository build

A real GitHub repo with your brand already applied.

Creates a repository in your own account holding a runnable Next.js project: your name, palette, logo and favicon in place, and a README carrying the opportunity and its estimates. Deployment hands off to your own Vercel account.

Workspace

Keep the work, and keep it moving

Everything is saved, resumable, and yours.

Scout agents

A standing brief that keeps looking.

Save a market brief as an agent and run it whenever you want a fresh read. Each run records what it found, so you can see how a market moved rather than starting cold every time.

Resumable projects

Pick up exactly where you stopped.

Every step is written as you go. Reopening a project restores it at the furthest point it reached, so completed research is never re-run — or re-billed to your AI account.

Bring your own keys

Your provider, your model, your bill.

Connect Anthropic, OpenAI or Google. They bill you directly at their rate with no markup from us, and you choose which model does which job. Safe preview runs the whole flow without calling a provider at all.

Your accounts throughout

Nothing is held hostage.

The repository is in your GitHub. The deployment is in your Vercel. The domain is at your registrar. If you stopped paying tomorrow, everything you made would still be yours and still work.

Free for one app, with your own AI key.

Start with the research. It is the part that saves months.
