About

Most ideas die in the gap between having one and starting it.

Not because the idea was bad, but because the first week is unglamorous: is anyone already doing this, is the name available, what would it even be called, where does the code go. AppCrafter exists to make that week take an afternoon.

Why it works this way

There is no shortage of tools that will generate a hundred startup ideas. The problem was never supply. The problem is that a generated idea is worthless until someone has checked whether the market exists, whether a competitor already owns it, and whether you can actually get the domain.

So the order matters here. Research before you name. Name before you brand. Brand before you build. Each step is grounded in the one before it, and every step is saved — including the four concepts you rejected, because those are the evidence that the one you chose was chosen rather than settled for.

How we build it

Four commitments.

Verify, do not suggest

Most naming tools hand you a list and let you discover the disappointment yourself. Every domain we show has been checked against registry records, and any name we cannot positively confirm is free never reaches you. When a registry is unreachable we say that, instead of showing an empty list you would read as 'everything is taken'.

Your keys, your accounts, your code

You connect your own AI provider. Your repository is created in your own GitHub account. Deployment hands off to your own Vercel account — we do not hold a deploy token. If you stopped paying us tomorrow, everything you made would still be yours and still work.

Estimates are hypotheses

The product produces revenue projections and opportunity scores. They are generated by a language model from the research available at that moment, and we label them as starting hypotheses rather than forecasts everywhere they appear, including in the README committed to your repository.

No invented activity

Nothing in the workspace shows data you did not create. No sample projects dressed as yours, no fabricated deployment counts, no progress bars for work that is not happening. If a feature is not built yet, the interface says so rather than implying otherwise.

Who it is for

People who would rather spend a day proving an idea is wrong than three months finding out. Solo founders, small agencies validating a product line, engineers with a shortlist and no way to choose between them.

It is not for you if you want a no-code app builder, or a tool that writes your entire product. AppCrafter gets you from a market question to a named, branded, scaffolded starting point. The building is still yours.

Start with the part that usually gets skipped.

Research first. It is free for one app.
